seriously. what has our educational system become. i’ve tried to think of whether our generation is just too lazy, too dramatic, etc but i honestly think we are being over worked and have too high of expectations for our age and for how we are treated. we are told to eat 3 meals a day, get 8 hours of sleep, get to school on time, be in clubs, do sports, finish all of our homework etc. not to mention house work, jobs to pay for college (which is a complete other rant in itself) and still have time to spend unwinding. what many adults fail to understand is that when they were in school they didn’t have advanced placement classes (AP/college courses in high school), they didn’t have honors classes. these more advanced classes are undeniably required if you plan on getting into a good college. it all adds to the stress level of teenagers today. they always say that we have it easier because they didn’t have nearly as advanced technology as we do but it goes both ways. the more technology advances the more we are required to learn. and to be quite honest, the teenagers (with everything else that is going on in their lives) can only handle so much. they wonder why crime rates are going up, they wonder why more and more teenagers are depressed, committing suicide, etc. the problem is right under their nose.
for example: an athlete cannot be overworked by a coach, otherwise they crack under pressure and injuries are more and more common. the same goes for school. another thing i would like to point out is (where i live at least) many elementary schools have cut cursive writing out of the school curriculum. many people think this is outrageous since it has been something children were required to know and “would use for the rest of their lives” for SO long now but it just comes to prove how many things kids in just the 2nd grade must learn! you have youngsters learning long division 2 years earlier than i did when i was in elementary school. it’s crazy! now there’s nothing wrong with improvement, but there comes a time when it gets to be too much for people to handle.
i suppose what i am trying to say is that the human mind is a delicate thing, and people need to be reminded that memorizing all of this information can become unnecessary. there is a fine line between exposing students to certain material, and forcing them to memorize something they have no interest in majoring in. maybe there needs to be a few changes in our school systems today.
okay that’s my rant. sorry it’s soo long and sorry if it doesn’t make sense. it’s 12:30 am and i’m stressed out and i needed to get that off my mind so that i could continue to study for final exams tomorrow.

Okay, this is actually what you do if you’re being sexually harassed in any kind of public space. Draw attention to it, preferably pull away and let EVERYONE know that someone is touching you. This will not only get him to get off you but he’ll definitely think about this situation next time he wants to do something like this.
Spreading the word.
My mom and I were talking about this today after hearing about a woman who was molested on a plane who said nothing until she was picked up at the airport by her parents. My mom looked at me and asked what I would do in that situation and I looked her dead in the eye and I told her “it would take me .02 seconds to realize what was going on and yell angrily, and then I would be straight on to bitch slapping him so hard he wouldn’t be able to see the punch I’d throw with the opposite hand”.
She nodded and accepted my salty language like a seasoned sailor.
I’ve had experience with this before, in Prague a group of five girls and I were followed by three men at night. After a while they started yelling at us, the most common being “how much?” Meaning how much we “cost” as prostitutes. Seeing as they weren’t going to stop, I turned on my heel, faced them (which surprised them), spat at their feet and responded with “You couldn’t afford me.” This prompted the other girls to start yelling back at them as well, starting with our spitfire Czech friend to start slinging curses in Czech as she and the rest of the girls came up beside me. Needless to say the men backed off and pretty much fled. They weren’t expecting a fight. It empowered me and encouraged the rest of the girls to yell back too.
I’ve heard that a lot of people don’t know what to do in this situation because they’ve been taught all their lives to be polite and non-aggressive. Keep your heads down or whatever.
Keep in mind that studies have shown that rapists look for victims who won’t fight back.
Remember that nobody has the right to touch you without your consent or harass you, and you have all the right to make the biggest fuss about it that you can possibly make.
Get angry. Be in command.
If someone is doing something that makes you uncomfortable like this, you do not need to be nice. Swear, kick, scream, make the asshole cry. You don’t have to nice, be as rude as you want

Polish doctor that refused to perform abortion named a “hero”
Dr Bogdan Chazan was visited by an expecting mother (32 weeks into pregnancy), who already had 5 miscarriages before and was worried about her health. It turned out that the fetus had hydrocephalus, undeveloped brain and was missing many bones from its skull. The Doctor refused to perform an abortion and didn’t send the woman to another hospital which could do so (according to polish law, if a doctor doesn’t want to perform an abortion, he has to choose another hospital which will agree to do so). Chazan was named a “local hero” and “true warrior of Jesus in the name of life of the unborn” by many polish politicians and catholic activists. He used conscience clause as an excuse for his actions.
The woman gave birth to the child through a C-section. She and her husband spent 10 painful days watching their deformed child die a horrible death. When she finally decided to speak out, she said:
“During these 10 days, no priest, no pro life activist or even dr Chazan came to see the child, to ask if they can help. It was really hard to look at our child. We knew what was coming, but it was still very hard to cope with”
Congratulations, pro-lifers - another “life” saved, another “happy” child and “happy” family.
